Meghna Gulzar's 2018 film, Raazi, was successful at the box office. Starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, the movie earned critical acclaim as well. Five years down the line, the filmmaker reunited with Vicky for Sam Bahadur. Kaushal will be seen playing the titular role in the film. Ahead of its theatrical release, Meghna has revealed how Sam Bahadur is different from Raazi.

Meghna Gulzar on Sam Bahadur vs Raazi

In an interview with The Indian Express, Meghna Gulzar spoke about the difference between Sam Bahadur and Raazi.

The filmmaker said, "I had a lot of empathy for Sehmat. There is a lot of grey in her. With Sam (Manekshaw), there is no scope for villainising anybody. It’s not that story and he is not that man. He didn’t do it in his lifetime and I can’t do it in his film."
