How I Met Your Father Trailer: Hilary Duff shares her side of dating life in HIMYM spin-off

The much-awaited spin-off to one of the most popular sitcoms How I Met Your Mother is here! This time, Hilary Duff, as Sophie, will take us through the challenges of modern dating in the series How I Met Your Father. The makers have released the trailer of the series and it looks quite interesting, as it tells almost the same story from the perspective of a woman.

The trailer opens with Kim Cattrall, the future version of Duff's Sophie narrating to her child, "This is the story of how I met your father," just way Ted did in the HIMYM series. The trailer then takes you through the rollercoaster ride of Sophie as she goes on a search for her 'the love of her life'. She is heard saying, "I know this might sound crazy, but I've been on 87 Tinder dates this year."

The series also explores Sophie's friendship with her close pals, Sid and Jesse.

How I Met Your Father is a sequel series to the former CBS hit How I Met Your Mother, which starred Josh Radnor, Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders, Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan. The Emmy-winning series ran for 10 seasons between 2005 to 2014. It followed Ted Mosby's (Josh Radnor) love story in reverse as he is seen narrating it to his kids.

Meanwhile, How I Met Your Father will be out on Hulu on January 18.
