Dream Girl 2: Ayushmann Khurrana has now addressed the criticism that the film is receiving.
Dream Girl 2, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the key roles. The movie now has a six-day total of Rs 56 crores at the box office. It will cross Rs 60 crores by the end of the week, which is a respectable sum.
Ayushmann has now addressed the criticism that the comedy film Dream Girl 2 is regressive an interview with Bollywood Hungama. He was quoted as saying, “Ek baat mere mann mein clear thi ki ye film unn logo ke liye hai hi nahi jo magnifying glass le ke baithe hain. Ye clear tha. Agar wo aap dimag se nikaal de…." (I was very clear that this movie wasn't for anybody who had a magnifying glass ready to go in their hands. That was obvious.)

The actor further said that the film is intended for the single-screen, overtly commercial, small-town audience. He beleives that the audience for his film is the same as Gadar 2 and you can't apply logic here. According to Ayushmann, there is a ridiculous suspension of disbelief throughout the movie.
Ayushmann talks about the message that Dream Girl 2 delivers
Although there isn't a clear message, it is sufficiently inclusive said the actor. He expresses that a very small amount of LGBTQ representation is there in the film as the final line for Abhishek Banerjee's character is "Love is love." He added that as a Muslim family is getting married into a Hindu Sardar household, the general public will consider it progressive. "Par jo magnifying glass le ke baithe hain, wo galtiyan nikaal sakte hain. Unke liye ye film hai hi nahi," the Vicky Donor actor added.
