Production on Housefull 5 the latest installment of one of India's most popular comedy franchises, is winding down. The crew has posted a photo of the film's most famous ensemble cast in an effort to commemorate the film's enduring impact.

Lavish cruise locations and big-budget production

Going by the photo, it seems like the cast and the crew of Housefull 5 are streamlining the final itinerary of their cinematic adventure.

Housefull 5 by Sajid Nadiadwala is historic because it is the first installment in the franchise to attain this milestone. The makers promise that the film has five times as much amusement, fun, and comedy as the original. Shot on a lavish cruise that departs from London and travels across France, Spain, and back to the UK, the film is considered a big-budget production.

Tarun Mansukhani at the helm

Tarun Mansukhani serves as the director of the film, whose last film was the 2019 Netflix release, Drive featuring the late Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez.

There is no continuity between the stories of the films; instead, each one begins with a new plot. Nevertheless, the subject matter and tempo are unaltered. The series has achieved commercial success, earning over ₹800 crore globally, even though it has received mixed reviews from reviewers. Among Indian film franchises, it ranks seventh all-time in terms of earnings, and among comedy films in particular, it is the most lucrative.
