The much-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon's has roped in Milly Alcock and Emily Carey in recurring roles. The prequel series, based on George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood series, is set in a period 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and captures the story of the House of Targaryen.

Milley Alcock and Emily Carey will embrace the roles of the younger Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (played by Emma D’Arcy) and Alicent Hightower (played by Olivia Cooke) respectively.

Alcock's character is the king's first child, pure Valyrian blood and a dragon rider. Born with everything, her only disadvantage is that she is not a man. While on the other hand, Carey's character is the daughter of Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King and the most beautiful woman in all of the Seven Kingdoms. Carey's Alice Hightower was raised within the King's close circle, making her possess grace along with political cleverness.

Previously roped in cast members include Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno and Fabien Frankel. The series is co-created by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal. Condal also serves as the showrunner along with Miguel Sapochnik who will also take on the direction of some episodes. Yaitanes, Clare Kilner and Geeta V. Patel will be directing the 10-episode series.
