Christmas is around the corner and the OTTs are scanning their contents to take you on a journey through the snowy celebrations of all time. If you are a fan of the classic sitcom Friends you know your holidays won’t be perfect until you celebrate thanksgiving or Christmas with the six of them.
The epic sitcom, which ran for 10 seasons, can still be seen on Top 10 lists of Netflix often. It starred Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, Courtney Cox as Monica Geller, Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani and David Schwimmer as Ross Geller. The One With the Monkey

This episode in season 1 witnesses the friends mourning about having no romantic partner, and deciding to celebrate the holidays with no dates. Ross brings his pet monkey Marcel, which turns out to be hilarious, Phoebe falls in love with the nerdy scientist David, but part ways as he gets invited to Minsk for research. Meanwhile, Rachel’s and Monica’s dates also flip-flops, so does Joey's. Chandler, on the other hand, brings his ex-girlfriend Janice, with whom he breaks up again before midnight. When the clock struck 12, the dateless friends were left without any partners, but together.
The One Where Rachel Quits
Season 3, Episode 10
Phoebe is devastated as she realises the dead Christmas trees go into the chopper. The nature lover wants to save them and eventually could be seen pissed off with her friends for using new Christmas trees. This episode is also a major turning point, as Rachel who works as a waitress at the Central Perk, quits her job to find her passion. To cheer Phoebe up, the five others decorate their apartment with dead Christmas trees as a surprise for her.
The One With the Routine
Season 6 Episode 10
This Christmas-New Year episode of Friends is definitely the show-stealer with the Routine of Monica and Ross. The siblings perform 'the routine' steps they learnt during high school at the New Year’s Rockin Eve show. Though the duo tries their best to be in front of the camera, they fail, leading to some funny banter. Meanwhile, the routine has been a wide hit till now, with many of the fans posting videos of themselves doing it. Recently, Cox herself had recreated the dance steps on her social media, which took the internet by storm.
The One With the Holiday Armadillo
Season 7 Episode 10
Ross’ epic Armadillo costume has taken away the whole limelight of the show. To introduce his son Ben to the idea of the Jewish holiday, he dresses up as a random and hysterical armadillo, as he couldn’t get the Santa costume. Meanwhile, trying to be a good uncle to Ben, Chandler dresses up as Santa and steals Ross’ thunder. While Ben is mesmerised by Chandler’s Santa, Ross tries to divert his mind by telling him stories of Christmas.
The One With the Creepy Holiday Card
Season 8 Episode 9
Ross could be seen in another troubling position in this episode. He dates Mona and she wants to send a couple of holiday cards with Ross. He feels it as an early step in the relationship, yet can’t say no to her. Though he proposes to have a serious talk with her, he seems to be a pushover. The situation turns complex as Monica learns that Rachel is already pregnant with Ross’ baby. Though Rachel says she is not interested in Ross anymore, the forthcoming episodes have a different story to tell.
