The action-comedy drama also stars Samuel L Jackson and Richard E. Grant
The American action-comedy film Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard can now be watched or rewatched from the comfort of your home. The Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds starrer is all set to make an OTT premiere with the streaming platform Lionsgate Play.
The film is directed by Patrick Hughes and is a sequel to the 2017 hit movie Hitman’s Bodyguard, which is also now available to stream on the OTT platform. The first instalment features Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds along with Samuel L Jackson and Richard E. Grant.
The film revolves around the world's most lethal odd couple - bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) who come together for another life-threatening mission. Being unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius's even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek). The trio then gets in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stands between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). The film was released in theatres earlier in the US in June and received mixed responses.
The film will be available to stream on the app from December 17.
