Directed by Karthik Venugopalan, PT Sir marks Adhi’s seventh acting venture
Karthik Venugopalan directorial, PT Sir, starring Adhi, has officially wrapped up its shoot. The actor-singer is also known as Hiphop Tamizha Adhi. On the birthday of the actor-singer on Tuesday (February 20, 2024), the makers of the movie released a making video from the sets of PT Sir.
The video, released by the film’s production house Vels Film International, features Adhi and other co-actors on the sets of the film. The video also showcases Adhi being cheered on by school kids and features all the shoot locations. Wishing ‘their PT Sir a happy birthday’, the team announced that the film has completed the shooting of the film. The video shows the singer-turned-actor celebrating his birthday with the team.
Helmed by Karthik Venugopalan of Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja fame, the upcoming film is bankrolled by Ishari K Ganesh under Vels Film International. In 2023, the makers had announced the film by unveiling the first-look poster of the film. The poster showcases a stressed Adhi holding a cricket ball, basketball and football, and whistling aggressively against the backdrop of a stadium. The actor-singer is also seen raising a cricket bat, albeit in a distressed manner.
It was revealed earlier that the actor will be playing the role of a physical education teacher in the film. The film's plot revolves around a young PT teacher who attempts to introduce unique physical activities to school children. The various challenges that come his way and how he tackles these form the rest of the story. The film is set to be a fun-filled drama, with Kashmira Pardeshi playing the female lead. Madhesh Manickam and GK Prasanna are handling the camera work and editing, respectively, for the movie, which has music composed by Adhi himself.

Adhi, who was last seen in 2023 superhero film Veeran, is busy with his upcoming projects. The film, which was directed by ARK Saravan, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
