June 28 was the day Hina Khan broke the news about her cancer diagnosis. The television actress has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. However, the actress hasn't let the disease hamper her fighter spirit. Hina has been undergoing cancer treatment and taking each day as it comes. A few hours ago, the actress shared photos of her scars on social media. Khan mentioned that the scars are the first sign of the progress she deserves.
Hina Khan embraces her scars amid cancer treatment
Hina Khan shared a series of photos on her Instagram account wherein she not only showed her scars but also spoke about embracing them with love. "What do you see in this Picture? The Scars on my body or the Hope in my Eyes? The scars are mine, I embrace them with love because they’re the first sign of the Progress I deserve (sic)," wrote Hina. Take a look at her post below:
The actress further mentioned that the hope in her eyes is the reflection of her soul. Hina added that she can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. While Khan is manifesting for her healing, she's also praying for others to heal.
Hina Khan on her first chemotherapy session
A few days ago, Hina Khan spoke about the day she attended an award function despite knowing about her cancer diagnosis. The actress decided to normalise it not just for herself but for everyone.
After attending the event, the actress headed to the hospital for her first chemotherapy session. "This award that I received right before my first chemo was not my motivation alone, infact I attended this event to reassure my self that I am living up to the benchmark, I have set up for myself (sic)," added Khan.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Hina was last seen in Namacool, which premiered on Amazon miniTV. The actress is best known for her role as Akshara in Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Khan was a part of the TV show for 8 years before she quit it.
