If Homi Adajania had to kill someone...

During an interview with Film Companion, the star cast of Murder Mubarak was asked how they would kill someone if they had to. Karisma replied that she could not even think of such thoughts. Sara joked that she would use jamalghota (a powerful laxative), to which Sanjay Kapoor said he would never drink what she (Sara) offered. Vijay said that he would use sarcasm to kill someone. Homi sarcastically said that he would ask them to direct an ensemble.

Homi Adajania on making Murder Mubarak

Speaking about what goes into making a crime mystery, Homi said that one needs to let the characters have a certain graph, which needs to be kept a little bit ambivalent so that the audiences are left wondering what is going on inside a character’s mind.

Acknowledging the shorter attention span of audiences, Homi said that they need to start a plot twist or introduce a new character every 3 minutes to keep the audience hooked.

How OTT platforms have changed stardom

Speaking about how the nature of OTT has changed stardom, Sara said that with OTT, you reach multiple countries at the same time and people consume content more often than they would in theatres. Tisca, on the other hand, called OTT an "eternal light," as content remains there forever and it is not dependent on weekend box office collections.

Helmed by Homi Adajania, Murder Mubarak is a crime mystery that unveils the faces of those around us. The film will be available to stream on Netflix starting March 15.
