Speaking in an interview, Nani said, "Hi Nanna is kind of a subject that suits the sensibilities of the OTT audience. As the subject matter is clean and filled with human emotions, the film will be watched time and again by the fans and family audience. I am looking forward to seeing the reaction of the family audience when the film will be out on Netflix".

Hi Nanna was produced by Vyra Entertainments and had Shruthi Haasan in a special song. She was paid Rs 90 lakhs to sizzle in the song. The music of Hi Nanna was a rage with the audience and it gave the film a solid push at the box office and made over Rs 35 crore in box office share.

2023 was a special year for Nani, as both his films, Dasara and Hi Nanna, ended as good hits at the box office. In both films, Nani was seen in contrasting roles. While he played a rustic village guy in Dasara, Nani was seen as a single father in Hi Nanna. His performance in both films was lauded by both the critics and the audience.

As of now, he is shooting for his new film Saripoda Sanivaaram in the direction of Vivek Athrea who made Ante Sundaraniki with Nani. Apart from this film, he is also in talks for a biggie with Trivikram Srinivas. More details about this will be out soon.
