Shroff has lent his vocals to the song Miss Hairan from the film’s soundtrack, composed by Rahman
Tiger Shroff’s high octane action is not the only thing fans have to look forward to in Heropanti 2. The star has also sung a song for the film’s soundtrack as well, called Miss Hairan. The film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala recently opened up about the same.
In conversation with ETimes, the filmmaker said he felt ‘great’ that he could launch Shroff as both a Bollywood actor and now as a singer. Nadiadwala had also bankrolled 2014’s Heropanti, which had been Shroff’s Bollywood debut.
The producer went on to talk about how he knew of Shroff’s singing abilities since the actor’s school days. He also revealed that none other than AR Rahman himself had given the nod for Shroff’s singing. “It’s a big deal that AR Rahman sir has approved him,” said Nadiadwala.
He also said that he believed Shroff must have auditioned for the opportunity and had been selected for the same.
Miss Hairan’s teaser was unveiled yesterday by Shroff on his social media handles. In the post’s caption, Shroff had talked about how it marked a ‘milestone’ in his career to sing for Rahman. The post also mentions that the song, which will be released today, marks the first time the actor has contributed to a film’s soundtrack.
Miss Hairan would not be the first time Shroff has made his talents known as a singer. His discography includes tracks such as You Are Unbelievable, Casanova and Vande Mataram.
The upcoming film, which is a sequel to Heropanti, also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria in prominent roles. The film is directed by Ahmed Khan, who had collaborated with Shroff on Baaghi 2 and 3.
Heropanti 2 will be released in theatres on April 29.
