Heropanti 2
Tiger Shroff has a certain fanbase in the country, who enjoy high flying kicks and expensive action sequences. Heropanti 2 starring Shroff came out on April 29, but has not had the biggest impact at the box office.
According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the movie has made Rs. 4.25 crore at the box office on day 3. This means Heropanti 2 has collected less than Runway 34 and KGF: Chapter 2 on Sunday.
The movie finished at the ninth spot in the New Zealand box office, having collected NZ $42,413 (Rs 20 Lakh approx.) for the first weekend. Heropanti and Runway 34 came out on the same day and was expected to face competition from KGF: Chapter 2, which continues its impressive run in the Hindi belts.
Heropanti 2 is a romantic action flick that reunites the duo of Tiger Shroff and Sajid Nadiadwala. Nadiawala also produced Heropanti in 2014, which marked Tiger’s acting debut.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, the movie also stars Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are also part of the lead cast, with the latter playing the main antagonist. The movie has received negative reviews following its release.
“Heropanti 2 is a movie that works on cringe-worthy and unrealistic action scenes. In the times when content is the king, Heropanti 2 is a sheer disappointment. While the dialogues of the film will make you go 'whistle baja', the makers appeared to have made the movie to only attract trolls and memes.” read the movie’s review on OTTplay.
Backed by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and with music composed by A.R. Rahman, the movie is available in theatres around the country.
