If you’ve heard enough about the Kannada film Hondisi Bareyiri or even seen it and liked it as well, that should be reason enough to have you excited about its maker Ramenahalli Jagannatha’s latest social media post. That is, if you are an aspiring actor. Jagannatha is gearing up to get started on his next feature film venture and he is looking at casting a fresh face as the leading lady.

In a new social media post, Jagannatha has said that he’s seeking a fresh face for the female lead role in his next feature film, which, as it turns out, he’s looking at making as a Kannada-Telugu bilingual. The requirement, as of now, is to meet the age criteria, which is between 18 and 25 years of age and know both Kannada and Telugu.
Should you meet these mandates, you need to then send your portfolio and an introduction video of about a minute, along with recent photographs to a designated email ID that’s listed in his casting call. There’s no last date mentioned in his post, but, then, no harm being an early bird.
In case you have not seen Hondisi Bareyiri yet and would like to check it out, the film is now available to stream for free on the filmmaker’s Sunday Cinemas’ YouTube page. The film had a stellar outing on OTT, when it came on Amazon Prime Video, but Jagannatha was keen to reach an even wider audience, as he believed that Hondisi Bareyiri deserved every bit of attention, and hence put it out for free.
Jagannatha had recently done an Instagram live session to help other aspiring filmmakers understand the business of theatrical and OTT releases and how sometimes reach of a film is more important than recovery of money invested in it.
