Dileep gave an explanation of why the project is important to his career at an event of the audio and trailer launch of his upcoming movie, Pavi Caretaker. The actor said at the start of his speech that everyone is now aware of his circumstances.
Viewers are aware of what he hinted at, even though he did not specifically address the actress assault case in which he is allegedly involved or the fact that the matter has been complicated by legal proceedings for the past few years.

Dileep continued, "I have been in the film business for more than thirty years, doing everything from supporting roles to leading roles, and people have always enjoyed him for his entertaining and comedic qualities." "I really needed a movie like Pavi Caretaker because it gave me a role that people really enjoy watching me play," he remarked.
The actor went on to say that although he usually makes people laugh, he has been crying for the past few years, and this movie is a means for him to show off his genuine entertaining ability. He said that Pavi Caretaker will be enjoyed by people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds.

The actor's fans hope that after several previous box office setbacks Pavi Caretaker will mark his well-earned comeback to the big screen. The actor's last movie, Thankamani, received mixed reviews; many reviewers pointed out that the film was ruined by a superficial script and overemphasised scenes. Based on true events from the 1986 Thankamany riot, the film made its theatrical debut on March 7.

The film centres on a resolute bachelor who has his own set of life rules. Pavithran, a caretaker in a residential flat, travels through life and its obstacles in a humorous way while experiencing love, life, and laughter. An unexpected companionship changes his life by adding colour and a breath of fresh air. The film also stars Deepu G Panicker, Jinu Ben, Dharmajan Bolgatty, and Radhika Sarathkumar.
