Here's why 2023 is going to be a busy year for Sanya Malhotra
Since the time she made her debut in Bollywood with the 2016 super-successful film Dangal, Sanya Malhotra has proven her talent with each of her projects. Now, the actress is gearing up for the release of multiple films, including the Shah Rukh Khan- and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Jawan.
Last year, the actress was seen in the Bobby Deol and Vikrant Massey-starrer Love Hostel and Rajkummar Rao-starrer HIT: The First Case.
At the moment, Sanya is focusing on finishing the shoot of Jawan. Apart from this, she has wrapped up the shoot of the Netflix film Kathal, which is directed by Yashowardhan Mishra, and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Guneet Monga. The film also stars Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav and Brijendra Kala.
Sanya also has a pivotal role in the war film Sam Bahadur, which is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw, who was the chief of the Indian Army during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and also stars Vicky Kaushal.
The actress also plays the female protagonist in the Hindi remake of the acclaimed Malayalam film, The Great Indian Kitchen, which was directed by Joe Baby. The Hindi remake is being directed by Aarti Kadav and also stars Harman Baweja.
Talking about Sanya's growth as an actress, an industry insider revealed, "Sanya is one of the most bankable stars today, who is capable of playing any kind of character."
The source added that her girl-next-door image makes her relatable and adored for audiences, and that is one of the strong elements to Sanya's growth and success.
In the past, Sanya has acted in films like Patakha, Badhaai Ho, Photograph, Shakuntala Devi, Ludo, Paggliat and Meenakshi Sundareshwar. She has shared screen space with some celebrated actors, including Aamir Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta and Vidya Balan, to name a few.-
