A police officer named Jacob Eeraly (Mammootty) is tasked with looking into the disappearance and murder of Ayyappan (Bharath Gopi), the tabla player for Vakkachan's drama group, Bhavana Theatres.
Every artiste in the troupe tells a different story about why they believe Ayyappan would have disappeared. The police eventually learn the truth when the murderer confesses to the crime, despite being initially in the dark about the motives behind the case.
