The film, directed by debutant Vinoth Kumar, has Sunainaa as the leading lady
Vishal's Laththi, helmed by debutant Vinoth Kumar, has been long in the making, courtesy the actor's injury. Vishal injured himself not once, but thrice during the shoot and hence, the proceedings got a tad delayed. Now the actor has finally announced that the trailer of the film will be out on this date. Yes, the trailer will be out on December 12. Vishal wrote on his social media handle, "Here we go, the much awaited #LaththiTrailer release date is here, It’s 12/12/22 @ 5 PM, GB #LaththiCharge #Laththi #Laatti (sic)."
The shoot has been wrapped up and the film's post production is going on in full swing. Now we hear that the film has been censored as well. The film is considered a tribute to the constables in the Police force and Vishal plays a constable as well. Laththi will have some heavy-duty action sequences performed by Vishal and the audience will have many mass moments to feast on. The action sequences choreographed by Peter Hein are considered to be the highlights of Laththi.
The plot will revolve around Vishal taking on a bunch of gangsters even as he tries to rescue a child. The teaser in which Vishal was seen fighting a pack of goons had already won the attention of many. Sunaina plays the leading lady in the film and this is her second collaboration with Vishal after their 2013 film Samar.
The film has a pan-Indian release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Vishal has dubbed his portions in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Rana Productions (a collaboration of actors Nandhaa and Ramana) has bankrolled the movie which will mark Vishal's second outing this year after Veeramae Vaagai Soodum (streaming on Zee5). The film is slated to release on the occasion of Christmas.
