Aadhi in Clap
A while ago, the makers of Clap directed by Prithivi Adithya, had announced that the movie will have a direct-to-OTT release, though their initial plan was to release it in theatres. The project which has been made as a bilingual has Aadhi and Aakanksha Singh playing lead roles.
Tipped as a sports drama, Clap which will release in Tamil and Telugu, has Nasser, Prakash Raj, Mime Gopi and Krisha Kurup among others essaying significant roles in it. Prithivi himself has penned dialogues for the movie along with Vanamaali. Ilaiyaraaja has composed music for the project, the shooting of which, happened in Chennai and Hyderabad.
The makers have now announced that its trailer will be released on March 5. It is expected that the film's release date will also be announced along with the trailer. There are unconfirmed reports doing the rounds that the movie will have its release later this month.
Aadhi will be seen playing an athlete who aspires to bag a gold medal in a national-level championship. However, fate had some other plans for him. The actor will be seen sporting two looks in the movie. According to the makers, he had shed a few kilos to fit into both the looks. He was last seen in Tamil in U Turn (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). He is currently playing the antagonist's role in the bilingual flick The Warrior.
Aakanksha Singh, the female lead of Clap, essays the role of a hockey player; the film marks her debut in Tamil. Praveen Kumar and Ragul have cranked the camera and handled editing respectively for the movie.
Sakthi Saravanan has choreographed action sequences for the movie which has been produced by B Karthikeyan under Big Print Pictures.
