The Tamil-Telugu bilingual, helmed by Shree Karthick, is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures
Sharwanand, last seen in this year's gangster drama Maha Samudram, is gearing up to entertain audiences with a light-hearted family drama titled Oke Oka Jeevitham. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual (titled Kanam in Tamil) is written and helmed by first-time director Shree Karthick. Ritu Varma plays the female lead in the project while Amala Akkineni, Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi and Nassar are cast in supporting roles. An announcement regarding the film's teaser was out today.
The teaser of Oke Oka Jeevitham will officially release on December 29. The teaser announcement poster has Sharwanand, Priyadarshi and Vennela Kishore in a cheery mood, seated on a swing, where the backdrop is filled with several nostalgic elements like the cassettes, kites, video game joystick, walkman and others. The family drama is likely to have a time-travel element in the story, though the makers haven't gone beyond the statement 'family drama with sci-fi elements' in their media statements.
The bilingual reportedly has a strong emotional core, focusing on the relationship between a mother and a son, while also catering to the tastes of youngsters and family audiences. Filmmaker Tharun Bhascker has written the dialogues for the film, while the crew also comprises composer Jakes Bejoy, cinematographer Sujeeth Sarang and editor Sreejith Sarang. N Satheesh Kumar is the art director with Sudesh Kumar roped in for the stunts. Sirivennela Sitaramasastri and Krishnakanth have penned the lyrics for the album.
The film is bankrolled by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures. Oke Oka Jeevitham is slated to hit theatres in February 2022. The filming of the bilingual had commenced in August 2019 and was wrapped by November 2020. After Oke Oka Jeevitham, Sharwanand will be seen in another family entertainer Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu alongside Rashmika Mandanna.
