The first look poster of Sandeep Shyam's Vezham was released by Arya and Harish Kalyan earlier this month. The thriller flick stars Ashok Selvan in the lead while Janani and Iswarya Menon play female lead roles in it. The shooting of the project was completed a while ago.

The makers have now announced that the movie will release in theatres on June 24. They also revealed a new poster and informed that the film has bagged U/A certificate. Janani plays a writer in the film while Iswarya essays the role of a girl who has returned from abroad.

Ashok has a suspense-filled character which is mysterious in nature to enact in Vezham. The film's story takes place in two time periods, and he sports dual looks for the movie. Dinesh Subbarayan has helmed action scenes for the film which has music composed by debutant Jhanu Chanthar.

Sangili Murugan, Kitty, PL Thenappan and Shyam Sundar among others essay important characters in the movie which has cinematography by Shakthi Arvind and editing by AK Prasath. Produced by Keseven under K4 Kreations, Sugumar has helmed art direction for Vezham.

Ashok Selvan, who has had three releases this year in Tamil, will next be seen in Nitham Oru Vaanam. He was seen playing a cameo in Tollywood movie Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam as well. His performance in Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal (streaming on aha Tamil) earned him praises, while Manmatha Leelai (streaming on aha Tamil) had him shouldering the movie alone.

His last outing, Hostel, received lukewarm response, though. An announcement on its OTT release is expected soon. Vezham, too, is expected to drop on a leading OTT platform after a month of its theatrical release.
