It's been an year since the legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, who sang more than 40,000 songs in 16 languages, passed away. The music director of Rajinikanth-starrer Annaatthe D Imman, had revealed last year that the singer's last song was recorded for the film directed by Siva.
Most of the Rajinikanth-starrers which released from '90s had SPB lending his voice for their intro songs; Annamalai, Baasha, Muthu, Padayappa, Sivaji and Petta were a few of them. As the makers of Annaatthe had unveiled its first look and motion poster recently, fans of the Superstar and the singer have been eagerly waiting for the first single from the movie.
Sun Pictures, which has bankrolled the project, has now announced that the first single from the film will be released on October 4 at 6pm. They also posted a new poster of the Annaatthe along with the announcement tweet which has Rajinikanth dressed in a red shirt and veshti, sporting a stylish goggles and a vibhuti on his forehead. The trademark smile of the star is sure to make his fans go crazy. It is expected that the film's trailer will also be released this month as the movie is all set for a theatrical release on November 4.
There are rumours doing the rounds on social media with regard to the postponement of the film's release. However, there is no official announcement on it yet. As the first single is going to be out in a couple of days, fans of Rajinikanth and movie buffs hope that the makers will stick to the release date announced earlier.
As per the latest developments, Vishal-Arya's Enemy and Silambarasan's Maanaadu will also hit the screens on Deepavali. There were speculation on Vikram's Mahaan choosing the festive occasion for its release, but there's no update on the same yet.
