Stay tuned for a fresh take on the popular Money Heist is about to make its way to Netflix soon. Netflix unveiled the release date for Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Area along with a brief teaser today.
“A robber who steals petty cash either gets killed after being chased or ends up in jail. But a robber who steals at a massive scale can change the world and even become a hero,” says the Professor in the clip.
The video then transitions to the intricate plan that the Professor and his recruits have drawn out to pull off “the greatest show on earth." A still of the team of these highly skilled robbers, wearing the signature mask though with some alterations, is the closing shot of the video before the title is once again introduced to viewers.

The Korean adaptation of La Casa de Papel was announced earlier this year, with Yoo Ji-tae revealed as the Professor. Joining him are Park Hae-soo (Berlin); Jun Jong-seo (Tokyo); Lee Won-jong (Moscow); Kim Ji-hun (Denver); Jang Yoon-ju (Nairobi); Lee Hyun-woo (Rio); Kim Lee Kyu-ho (Helsinki).
Yong-jae has written the show, originally created in Spanish by Alex Pina. Kim Hong-sun is the director. BH Entertainment and Zium Content are the series’ producers.
The first season of La Casa de Papel premiered on Netflix in 2017, with the last one airing in 2021. The show was not only among Netflix’s most-watched non-English titles but it went on to win several coveted awards in Spain and was declared the Best Drama Series at the 2017 International Emmys. Money Heist has also left a lasting legacy for its use of the Italian protest song ‘Bella Ciao’ which gained global recognition.
Money Heist: Joint Economic Area releases on Netflix on June 24.
