Here's when Keerthy Suresh will join Varun Dhawan for Atlee’s mass entertainer

Varun Dhawan will kick off the second schedule of Atlee’s mass entertainer today in Mumbai.

In the next film directed by Atlee, Keerthy Suresh will finally make her Bollywood debut. Keerthy will share the screen space with Bollywood actor, Varun Dhawan. This movie, tentatively known as VD18, combines comedy and romance with action.

The recent reports reveal that after the massive success of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, Atlee is all set to commence the second schedule of this film in Mumbai today.

A source tells Pinkvilla that today in a Mumbai studio, Varun Dhawan starts the second schedule of filming for Atlee's big-budget comedy. Varun and his leading lady, Keerthy Suresh, will work on several long-duration, multi-location scenes that are both dramatic and emotional. In this schedule, which will go until roughly October 15th, the producers will also be filming some action sequences. The movie is slated to be finished by December, with a goal of having it released in theaters in May 2024.

Varun will collaborate for the first time with the South filmmaker, Atlee for his 18th Bollywood film. The team recently completed their first scheduled shoot for the film, tentatively titled VD 18, which began last month.

Atlee's work front

Atlee and Thalapathy Vijay are anticipated to work together for a Tamil film once VD 18 is completed. The director also plans to produce a few films in the Tamil and Bollywood industries besides directing films.

Varun Dhawan's work front

Last seen in Bawaal, Varun is also anticipated to star in a comedy film directed by his father, David Dhawan. The project will begin filming early in the following year and is now in the screenplay stage. The Student Of The Year actor also has has Citadel India, an Amazon Prime series from Raj & DK, set for release in the first half of 2024.
