It was last year that the makers of Kallapart unveiled its first look project, featuring Arvind Swami, who was seen smoking a cigarette even as he unwrapped a roller bandage from his left hand. Vijay Sethupathi had released the poster of the film which is billed as a thriller.

P Rajapandi has helmed the movie which has Regina Cassandra essaying the female lead; she plays a dancer in it. The team has now announced that Kallapart has bagged U/A certificate and that it will hit the screens on June 24. They also released a new poster of the project along with the announcement.

Vezham, Titanic and Iravin Nizhal are other films in Tamil that are expected to hit the screens on June 24. Arvind Krishna has handled cinematography for Kallapart which has music composed by Nivas K Prasanna. Anandraj and Saranya Ponvannan will be seen playing crucial characters in the film.

The movie has editing by Ilayaraja, while its dialogues have been penned by Radha Krishnan. Miracle Michael has choreographed action sequences for the film, which according to makers, is devoid of clichés in regular thriller films that release in Tamil.

Arvind, who was last seen in Vijay's Kangana-starrer Thalaivii, has long-delayed projects like Naragasooran and Pulanaivu in his kitty. Vanangamudi, Sathuranga Vettai 2 and Rendagam are other movies of his awaiting releases. There were reports of Naragasooran releasing last year directly on an OTT platform, but the team is yet to come up with an update.

Similarly, Sathuranga Vettai 2 was said to hit the screens earlier this year, but it is still lying in the cans. Arvind made his OTT debut last year as both an actor and a director. He played one of the leads in Karthick Naren's Project Agni and helmed Roudhram; both the films were part of Netflix's Navarasa.
