Here's when Amma Song from Sharwanand's bilingual film Kanam will be released

We had reported earlier about Sharwanand's bilingual flick which is being made as Kanam and Oke Oka Jeevitham in Tamil and Telugu respectively. The movie directed by Shree Karthick has been produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures. The first look of the movie and its teaser were released a while ago.

Now, the team has announced that Amma Song, the first single from the project, will be unveiled on January 26 at 5 pm. Sid Sriram has lent voice for the melody track in both Tamil and Telugu. Jakes Bejoy has composed music for which Uma Devi and Sri Vennela Seetharama Sastry have penned lyrics for Tamil and Telugu versions respectively.

The movie marks the comeback of Amala Akkineni to Kollywood after three decades. Ritu Varma plays the female lead in the movie which has Nasser, MS Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak and Sathish playing key roles. The characters of Ramesh and Sathish are essayed by Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi Pulikondai in the Telugu version.

Sujith Sarang and Sreejith Sarang have handled the project's cinematography and editing respectively. Sudesh Kumar and N Satheesh Kumar have helmed the film's action sequences and art direction.

Suriya unveiled the movie's teaser which has hinted at a time travel element in its story. Going by the teaser, Sharwanand and a few others will appear as characters who belong to a different universe in the movie.

Though the makers haven't announced the release date of Kanam, they had informed earlier that it will have a theatrical release later this year. Vaiyapuri, Yog Jappe, Nithyaraj, Jay Adithya and Hitesh are a few other actors who will be seen playing crucial roles in the movie.
