The title and first poster of the Maamannan duo Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu’s sophomore collaboration have finally been revealed! The film has been titled Maareesan and will be the 100th film backed by production house Super Good Films.
The new poster features the head figure of a reindeer, which appears to be carved on a road. From the first glance, the film seems to be an intriguing road-travel film. The movie’s announcement poster, unveiled on New Year’s Eve, featured a similar road-theme, hinting that the film would be focussing on a road travel story.
Moreover, the caption from the new poster says ‘The Hunt and The Hunter' clearly indicates that the film will be an interesting road dramedy to watch out for! Furthermore, we are excited to have both the Mamannan duo’s phenomenal performances grace the silver screens once again!
Maareesan marks Fahadh’s sixth Tamil venture, while his previous films include Velaikkaran (2017), Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe (2019) and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram (2022).
Shooting begins
According to the latest reports, the film has officially commenced shooting with a puja ceremony. More details about the film are yet to be announced.

Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, the film’s plot is yet to be revealed. The film's technical team consists of Yuvan Shankar Raja, who will be scoring the music for the film, while Kalaiselvan Sivaji is on board to crank the camera. The film’s editing will be handled by Sreejith Sarang.
Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming endeavours
The Malayalam star, who is currently shooting for Rajinikanth-TJ Gnanavel’s action film Vettaiyan, will be seen in handful of biggies including Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule, Alphonse Puthren’s directorial Paattu and Romancham-fame Jithu Madhavan directorial tilted Aavesham.
