Here's the tentative theatrical release date of upcoming big ticket Kollywood movies

Many official announcements are expected to happen in the coming days

Vijay, Ajith and Suriya

With several restrictions related to the pandemic having lifted recently in Tamil Nadu, Kollywood has geared up for back-to-back theatrical releases of big movies after a while. Vishal's Veeramae Vaagai Soodum will release on February 4, while Vijay Sethupathi's Kadaisi Vivasayi and Vishnu Vishal's FIR will hit the screens on February 11.

There are various speculation doing the rounds on the release date of a few much-awaited Tamil films. An official announcement on the same is expected to happen in the coming days. Check out the tentative theatrical release dates of those projects featuring big stars.

Valimai

The most-anticipated action thriller starring Ajith in the lead was supposed to hit the screens on January 13. Its release was postponed a week before its supposedly release date owing to the rise in number of COVID cases. It is now expected that the film will release on February 24.

Etharkkum Thunindhavan

The Suriya-starrer's initial release date was announced as February 4 by the makers. However, the team didn't release the movie because of several restrictions imposed in Tamil Nadu. According to sources, the team is planning to release the family drama on March 10 or 11.

Don

This fun-filled campus drama, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, was earlier considered as a February release. However, the makers officially announced its release date on March 25 yesterday. But with the makers of RRR announcing its arrival on the same date, it has to be seen if Don will choose another date.

Beast

Though the makers are yet to come up with any major updates from the movie, the release date of Vijay's action thriller is expected to be April 14. The much-expected first single from the film is likely to be unveiled later this month. Fans of Vijay are waiting to know whether the team will announce another release date to avoid clash with KGF 2.

Vikram

This action flick, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, was initially planned to have a release in movie halls towards March end. But the postponement of other big films has now spoiled the team's plans. If everything goes well, the project is likely to hit the screens in May.
