Here's the first look of Regina Cassandra-Nivetha Thomas starrer Saakini Daakini

Saakini Daakini, an action comedy starring Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas in the lead, is directed by Sudheer Varma. The makers of Oh Baby , Suresh Productions, Guru Films and Kross Pictures (D. Suresh Babu, Sunitha Tati and Hyunwoo Thomas Kim) have bankrolled this Telugu remake of a Korean movie titled Midnight Runners. The film, whose shoot commenced in March and was wrapped up recently, is set to have a direct release on Netflix. On the occasion of the lead actress Regina's birthday, the makers shared the film's first look today.

Dressed in a military uniform, the actresses are seen receiving a handful from their superiors in this intriguing poster. It's interesting to note that both the lead actors have performed ther own stunts for the movie.

The makers in an official media statement say,"Like Oh! Baby’s original version Miss Granny which had universal appeal, the story of Midnight Runners also has global appeal and can similarly enthuse Telugu audiences." Richard Prasad is cranking the camera for the film while Mikey McCleary scores the music. Viplav Nyshadam is the editor, with Gandhi Nadikudikar handling duties as an art director. Akshay Poolla has penned the screenplay and dialogues for Saakini Daakini. The makers had released the film's title poster on actress Nivetha Thomas’ birthday earlier.

The post-production work of Saakini Daakini is progressing at a rapid pace and an official announcement about the film's release date will be made shortly. Regina Cassandra is also part of aha's Anya's Tutorial and is awaiting the release of a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled Nene Naa. Nivetha Thomas has a key role to play in Nani's home production Meet Cute as well.
