Suresh Gopi will next be seen in the thriller drama Paappan.
Malayalam star Suresh Gopi is certainly keeping busy these days. The star has a host of projects lined up for release. But despite his busy schedule, the star has not forgotten a charitable promise he made last year.
Last year, the star had promised that he would donate Rs 2 lakhs from the remuneration he received for every film he did to the Mimicry Artist Association (MAA), to help artists tide over the hardships they went through as a result of the pandemic. Recently, the actor made good on his promise, handing over a check he received as advance payment for his film Ottakomban, to MAA.
The actor took to his official social media handles to make the announcement, sharing a photograph of the check worth Rs 2 lakhs. In the post’s caption, the actor revealed that he had received the sum as an advance payment for Ottakomban and would hand over the same to MAA. The post also featured a still from the upcoming film.
Nadhir Shah and Shaju Sreedhar were among the stars who appreciated the actor’s efforts on his Facebook post.

Suresh Gopi was last seen in Kaaval (2021). The film, which also stars Rachel David, Renji Panicker and Kichu Tellus, can be streamed on Netflix.
Apart from Ottakomban, the star is currently working on his upcoming film Main Hoon Moosa, directed by Jibu Jacob. The film had gone on floors last month and also features Poonam Bajwa and Harish Kanaran in pivotal roles.
The actor will next be seen in the film Paappan, which will see him don the khaki yet again, essaying the role of a seasoned police officer. The film, directed by Joshiy and written by RJ Shaan, will see Suresh Gopi share the screen with his son, Gokul Suresh, for the first time. Also starring Nyla Usha, a release date for the same is yet to be announced.
