The star’s spy thriller, also starring Sonal Chauhan, is helmed by Praveen Sattaru
There are a few actor-director combinations you don’t quite foresee but can be a cause for great excitement when the project officially materialises. One such collaboration brings together the versatile filmmaker Praveen Sattaru and actor Nagarjuna for The Ghost. The spy thriller, which wrapped its shoot recently, is all set to hit theatres on October 5. Sonal Chauhan is cast as the female lead.
Anikha Surendran and Gul Panag too play key roles in the film produced by Narayan Das Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, Sharrath Marar under Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP and Northstar Entertainment. Mark K Robin is the composer. Earlier today, the makers shared a new poster, offering a sneak-peek into the weapon that Nagarjuna uses in the film.
The poster showcases a sword used by Nagarjuna a.k.a The Ghost. It’s reportedly a Japanese Katana (sword) made of the rare and precious steel Tamahagane. From what we know, katanas made of Tamahagane can be very fatal. They are very sharp that they can even cut rods and iron. This is the same weapon that The Ghost uses to take on the criminals.
The makers also confirmed that a new updated related to The Ghost and the Tamahagane sword will be out on August 18. Nagarjuna is cast in the role of an Interpol officer named Vikram, while Sonal Chauhan is his on-screen colleague. The shoot of the Ghost had commenced in the early half of 2021. Kajal Aggarwal had also shot for the film before opting out of the project.
Mukesh G is the cinematographer with Brahma Kadali heading the art direction team. Dinesh Subbarayan and Kaecha are the stunt choreographers. Venkateswara Rao Challagulla is the executive producer. Two other films are aiming for a Dasara release - Godfather and #NBK107, though there’s no official confirmation about it yet.
