Actress Meera Jasmine became emotional after watching Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal’s Neru in a theatre in Kochi. She called the courtroom drama a moving movie that was made even better by Mohanlal, Sidhique, and Anaswara Rajan's outstanding performances.

The Vinodayathra actress continued by claiming that only Mohanlal could pull off a performance with such intensity. “The way the filmmakers explored and gave space to the emotions of the female characters is the best aspect of the films. Neru is an amazing movie," she exclaimed.

The way Anaswara Rajan played Sara in this film was also praised by Meera. She continued, "She has been able to do justice to her role, which is challenging."
