The Rakshit Shetty-led Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is releasing in two parts, with the first set to be in theatres on September 1
Hemanth M. Rao is presenting the film in two parts
In recent times, very few films well and truly connected with audiences and large and most of them were commercial movies meant for a big-screen viewing. There have been a few exceptions, but they had other calling cards that clicked with audiences, like Kantara and Hostel Hudugaru Bekagidaare, among others. It is at this juncture that Kannada filmmaker Hemanth M Rao is preparing to bring his film, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, an intense love story, to theatres.
Hemanth, though, says that he did not bother about the mass vs class divide because as far as he is concerned, love stories appeal to all audiences. “Love is a part and parcel of everyone’s life in some shape or form,” said the filmmaker at the trailer launch of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello on Thursday, adding, “My wife once said, ‘Quiet people love the loudest’; this film is a reflection of that and, hence, is an intense love story.”
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello has been produced by Rakshit Shetty, who also plays the leading man, Manu. This is Hemanth’s second collaboration with Rakshit after Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. The story, spanning two time periods – 2010 and modern day – is being told in two parts, with Rakshit sporting two very distinctive looks, one of which required him to put on 20-odd kilos. Innovatively called Side A and Side B, the two films will release 50-days apart on September 1 and October 20, respectively. The films are being presented by KVN Productions in Karnataka.
The team has not announced a pan-India release yet, so, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello will first come out in Kannada , with the dubbed versions, which are ready, to be introduced in the market depending on the demand. Once Rakshit is done with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, he will kickstart his next directorial, Richard Anthony, which is being produced by Hombale Films.
