Hema Malini REACTS to Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi's much-talked-about kiss in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani; here's what she said

Earlier, Karan Johar and even Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi addressed the iconic kiss in the recently released romantic comedy.

Dharmendra's kiss with Shabana Azmi in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been the subject of much discussion. During a recent book launch event, Hema Malini opened up about her reaction to the scene. The veteran actor spoke about it in New Delhi at the book launch of her brother's autobiography, Galloping Decades.

In Karan Johar's romantic comedy drama, Dharmendra and Shabana play long-lost lovers who meet up with their grandchildren. Their love story develops in tandem with Rocky and Rani's love story throughout the film.

According to Times Now, when asked about the viral kiss, Hema laughed and stated that she has not seen it and is sure the movie is a big hit with audiences. The actor further revealed that Dharmendra is going to be extremely thrilled since he really enjoys being in the spotlight.

Dharmendra mentioned the kiss to Karan and the rest of the actors at a success meeting for the film that took place the same day in Mumbai. Ranveer prodded Dharmendra to comment on the "Woh Wala Scene" and the legendary star responded cheekily that unfortunately he couldn't attend the premiere, but he has received a lot of messages from people. As he put it, "It's a piece of cake for me." Dharmendra, to the amusement of his co-stars, said, "I can do it effortlessly." The actor spoke in Hindi at the event.

Karan had also earlier talked about the sequence in an interview with Film Companion. He said that Shabana is one tough cookie, and she is a baap' actor, which means she's a true pro. No one had any doubts or concerns about the passionate romance. Karan revealed that Dharmendra said, "Haan theek hai, karna hai, fine." It was two seasoned pros giving it their all and doing an excellent job. It was a beautiful sight to behold them.

In an interview with Zoom, Shabana also remarked that filming the sequence was never an issue and that audiences had been laughing and cheering during it. She said it's true that she doesn't have a lot of movie kissing experience. She questioned the idea that anyone could resist a kiss from Dharmendra.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also features Jaya Bachchan as the onscreen wife of Dharmendra and the matriarch of the Randhawa family.
