Hello Meera: Gargeyi Yellapragada’s single character-film wraps up censor formalities, set for April release

Desamuduru actress Hansika Motwani was in the news recently for her single shot, single character film One Not Five Minuttess. As the former awaits release, Telugu cinema is gearing up to witness another single-character film titled Hello Meera. The experimental film headlined by Gargeyi Yellapragada is a touted to be a griping thriller and wrapped its censor formalities recently.

After receiving a U certificate from the CBFC, Hello Meera is set to release on April 21. The makers promise an edge-of-the-seat experience with a mix of suspense, thrills, emotions and drama. Reportedly, the censor board was all praise for the team’s attempt to come up with a captivating experiment. The film is written and directed by Kakarla Srinivasu, a former protégé of filmmaker Bapu.

Kakarla Srinivasu’s directorial debut is presented by Jeevan Kakarla under Lumiere Cinema. S Chinna scored the music for the film and the makers are happy with the responses to the first single, sung by Sameera Bharadwaj. Deepak Blue has also crooned for a song and Sri Sai Kiran is the lyricist. Lakshmana Rao Dikkala, Varaprasadarao Dumpala and Padma Kakarla are bankrolling the film.

Rambabu Medikonda is the editor of the film and the crew also comprises production designer Tirumala M Tirupati. Suri Sadhanala is the associate director and Hiranmayi Kalyan is the dialogue writer. Sarath and M Geetha Gurappa handle the sound design and audiography respectively. Noted music label Aditya Music acquired the audio rights of Hello Meera.

Hello Meera unfolds over a car journey and the story revolves around how a young woman deals with the various twists and turns in her life. It’s quite a challenge for any actor to sustain a viewer’s attention throughout a film and it’s appreciable that a newcomer took a chance with it. The thriller will lock horns with Sai Dharam Tej, Samyuktha Menon starrer Virupaksha.
