Netflix is gearing up for another bone-chilling documentary after releasing Curry & Cyanide a few days ago. This time it doesn’t revolve around the brutal murders but the shocking truths of a hell camp where groups of children were harshly treated in the name of improvement. The documentary is slated for a December 27 release on Netflix.

The documentary film gives a glimpse of the lives and conditions of children who were sent to a camp to get themselves “cured” of their delinquent tendencies. However, when the truth came to light, everyone was left shocked at the hidden crimes veiled under the false premise.

Plot

The trailer, which was released exclusively on the streaming platform Netflix, chronicles the lives of a group of children who are sent to a specially designed camp for delinquents and unruly children. Located in the rough landscapes of Utah – The camp concept is the brainchild of Steve Cartisano initiated to address the concerns of the nations to bring the 80s youth of America in the right direction.

However, things took a sinister turn when the therapy camp was exposed, and the extremely bad conditions of children and the intolerable treatment by the staff were revealed.

With archival footage and interviews from the crime victims – Hell Camp: Teen Nightmare reflects the mistreatment of several teenage children in the Utah desert on the pretext of giving them training and life’s therapy. Parents of the troubled kids used to sign up for the Challenger Foundation, led by the strict and abusive owner, Cartisano.

“The hardest thing about being there was knowing my parents did it to me,” one of the survivors speaks on camera, while remembering the troubled past.

Netflix is rolling out its true crime documentary ahead of the year's end in December. In nearly two days, you’ll be able to watch the chilling documentary as it premieres on the streaming platform on December 27.
