The makers announced that they have wrapped up all the pre-release formalities; Vishwa directs the film
Vishwa, a former associate of successful filmmaker V V Vinayak, is wielding the megaphone for a film titled Geetha. R Rachaiah is bankrolling the film under Grand Movies. The film’s caption reads ‘mute witness’. Hebah Patel plays the titular character in the entertainer where actor-comedian Sunil will be seen in a pivotal role. Geetha has wrapped its shoot and is gearing up for a release soon.
Recently, the makers confirmed that the team has completed the post-production work and CBFC formalities as well. The film will hit theatres on August 26, a day after Vijay Deverakonda’s sports drama Liger. Sai Kiran, the Nuvve Kaavali, Preminchu actor who was recently seen in a brief role in Kalyan Ram’s hit Bimbisara, is cast as the antagonist in Geetha.
Expressing his happiness about the film’s release, Vishwa, in a statement, shares, “I earned the opportunity to direct this film only because of my guru, guide VV Vinayak. I’ll always be indebted to my producer Rachaiah.” R Rachaiah, the producer, belives Vishwa will do his ‘guru’ proud with Geetha and has come up with a wonderful film. “We’re keen to meet audiences at the theatres,” he adds.
Ram Karthik, Saptagiri, Rajeev Kanakala, Prudhvi, Tanikella Bharani, Sandhya Janak, Surya, Lalitha, Priya, Meena kumari, Jabardasth Apparao, Durga Rao and others too play important roles in Geetha. Vishwa has also written the story and screenplay for the project. Konidena Kranthi Kumar has cranked the camera for the film which has music by Subhash Anand and background score by S Chinna.
Ram Krishna has handled the stunt choreography for the film whose dance moves are composed by Anish. Sagar is the lyricist of the album and JK Murthy is the art director. Upendra and VV Ramana are the editor and the co-director respectively. Sunil was also seen in films like Darja, F3 recently. Hebah Patel’s relationship drama Telisinavallu is also awaiting release.
