Since the last few days, there had been many news circulating about the failing health of Heath Streak, who happens to be the former Captain of the Zimbabwe cricket team. The former captain was not keeping in the best of his health since the last few days. Heath Streak took his last breath today early morning at his farm in Matabeleland. He was 49 years old. He was suffering from cancer.

The news of Heath Streak’s passing away was confirmed by his family on social media. In addition to that, John Rennie, who happens to be a former Zimbabwe international player and also the spokesperson for Heath Streak’s family had confirmed the news to Sportstar. John Rennie said that Heath Steak had passed away in the early hours of the morning at his farm at Matabeleland and that he was surrounded by his family and loved ones. Rennie also added that Heath Steak passed away peacefully after a long fight with cancer.

Speaking of Heath Streak, one will always remember him as one of the extremely talented cricketing talent that the sports has ever produced. Considered to be one of the all-time legendary players from the Zimbabwe cricket team, Heath Streak had ended his illustrious cricketing career with 216 wickets in Test matches as well as 238 wickets in ODIs. Post his moving away from international cricket, Heath Streak had started coaching many international sides. These international sides included the likes of players of Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. Besides them, heath Streaks had also coached a handful of players in the IPL’s (Indian Premier League) teams including like Kolkata Knight Riders and also the Rajkot franchise, which is, at present, non-operational.
