Netflix left fans shocked and surprised with the new Heartstopper Season 3 teaser and we bring to you all the details about it.
Yesterday was indeed a very interesting day for the streaming world, as the West was getting one surprising announcement after the other back-to-back from three major studios. Just between two massive announcements about The Lord Of The Rings: Rings Of Power season 2 trailer release date and Tabu joining the much anticipated Dune: Prophecy, the Dune prequel series, there came a heartwarming one and it has Heartstopper Season 3 written over it. Fans were in for a treat because Netflix didn't just drop any other tease about the third season of the show; they ended up sharing a teaser with a song playing in the background. But wait, is that Billie Eilish singing it? Yes, you guys, that is indeed Billie and she has a song in the third season.
Heartstopper Season 3 has been one of the most exciting and anticipated threequels of the past couple of years. The show that was in the main for a very long time now has a confirmed release date and also a teaser that features Billie Eilish’s song Bird Of A Feather from her album Hit Me Hard And Soft in it. Set to face their biggest emotional challenges as both Nick and Charlie are returning for a third season, below is all you need to know about the new season of the much-anticipated show.
A story about two teenage boys, Charlie and Nick, played by Joe Locke and Kit Connor, Heartstopper looks at their friendship which is more than friendship and witnesses that dynamic bloom as they navigate through school and life. In the last episode of season 2, we see the two drifting as Charlie has to leave. Nick is saying everything but ‘I love you’ and we have been waiting for it for a while. In the end, we see Charlie who has now left type, “I love you,” and his thumb hovers over the send button and the screen blackouts.
The story now moves forward and Heartstopper Season 3 shows the two diving through a lot of challenges. As per Netflix, Alive Oseman, the creator of the show, said, “Season 2 ended with Nick beginning to understand the extent of Charlie’s mental health issues, and it’s this that will drive the story through Season 3. While Heartstopper will always celebrate the joy and point towards hope, I’m really excited that we are allowing the tone of the show to mature alongside our beloved characters as they grow up. Mental health, sex, university ambitions, and more: Nick, Charlie, and the Heartstopper teens are getting older, learning more about themselves and each other, and experiencing new desires, new fears, and new joys as they approach adulthood.”
With Joe Locke and Kit Connor reviving their leading roles, there are bunches of new faces joining the recurring characters. There will be Hayley Atwell playing Nick’s aunty, Eddie Marson playing Geoff, and Jonathan Bailey will have a cameo as Jack Maddox. The rest of the recurring cast resumes their duties as their parts.
Season three of Heartstopper has been in the making for a long time now. As per the latest announcement, the show is slated to hit streaming on October 3. Until then, you can do your revisions or obsess over the new teaser. The first two seasons of Heartstopper are already streaming on Netflix.
