The second single from the upcoming Tamil film Rathnam, Ethanaala, was released by the makers on social media earlier today. Starring actors Vishal and Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead roles, Rathnam is directed by filmmaker Hari, who is known for his action films. Touted to be a high-octane action film packed commercial elements, Rathnam will have a theatrical release on April 26.
The makers of Rathnam released the second single from the film, Ethanaala. It is sung by Sindhuri Vishal, with Viveka serving as the lyricist. The score is by National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad. The musician has worked with Hari in films like Aaru, Singam and Venghai.

Besides Vishal and Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rathnam also features actors Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu and Gautham Vasudev Menon, among others. Hari has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the upcoming film. The film is set to hit big screens on April 26.
Rathnam marks Vishal's third collaboration with Hari after the 2007 film Thaamirabharani and Poojai (2014). The technical crew of Rathnam consists of cinematographer M Sukumar and TS Jay handling the edits. Hari’s films are no short of stunt sequences and in line with that Kanal Kannan, Peter Hein, Dhilip Subbrayan, and Vicky are in charge of the sequences.

Recently, at an event held for the film, Hari had disclosed that Rathnam will be an out-and-out action flick and will contain a lot of violent scenes. The upcoming action film is a bilingual film which has been shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
Vishal, who is known for his action-packed films, was last seen in Mark Antony. The film released last year and was a commercial success. With Rathnam in his pipeline awaiting release, he is also part of Thupparivaalan 2, which is directing as well.
