Nithiin and Sreelela had earlier shared the screen space in Extra Ordinary Man
We had earlier reported that Telugu actor Nithiin will be headlining a film titled Robinhood, directed by filmmaker Venky Kudmula. At the time of the project announcement, it was said that Rashmika Mandanna would be playing the female lead. However, due to commitment issues, the actor had to walk out of the project.
On Friday (June 14), on the occasion of her birthday, the team of Robinhood officially announced that Sreeleela would be playing the female lead. The makers released a glimpse of her character.
Rashmika Mandanna left the project due to her commitment issues; she has now been replaced by Sreeleela. The actor, whose birthday is today (June 14), was welcomed by the team with a glimpse revealing her character.
The glimpse shows Sreeleela getting ready as she walks out of an aircraft in a stylish avatar. Meanwhile, she is met with Vennela Kishore, to whom she says, "Just like how T is silent in tsunami, you should be silent in front of me." She is later shown to be reading a book.
Robinhood is written and directed by Venky Kudmula and backed by Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers, with Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar serving as producers.

Robinhood is set to release in big screens on December 20. Nithiin and Venky have earlier worked in Telugu film Bheeshma. The upcoming film is touted to be an action comedy, with Nithiin playing the role of a thief. Besides Nithiin, the film will also feature Rajendra Prasad and Vennela Kishore in prominent roles.

It has music by GV Prakash Kumar, while Sai Sriram is in charge of cinematography. Prawin Pudi is the editor and Raam Kumar is the art director. Sreeleela was recently seen with Nithiin in the latter's last film, Extra Ordinary Man (2023). Sreeleela, who was also seen in Guntur Kaaram, is also part of Ustaad Bhagat Singh and RT75.
