Box Office performance:
As per the latest reports, as of September 19, 2023, Haunted Mansion had made $109.6 million worldwide after collecting $66.3 million in the US and Canada and $43.3 million in other regions. The film was released in the US and Canada at the same time as Talk to Me, and its opening weekend was predicted to earn $25–30 million. However, a debut of $20–25 million had also been indicated as conceivable.
On its opening day, the film earned $10 million, with $3.1 million coming from Thursday night previews. Finally, it opened to $24.1 million, which was not enough to beat the opening weekend of the 2003 film.
Variety said that the opening was not a great result for a kid-centric tentpole and that the film was "Halloween-esque" given its $157 million budget. The film's second weekend earnings were 62% down at $9.2 million, putting it in fifth place.
Notable cameos:
Haunted Mansion also features an uncredited cameo appearance by Winona Ryder and Hasan Minhaj in a brief role.
Members of the film's cast were unable to attend the premiere because of the ongoing 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.
