Here is a list of upcoming releases in July.

July has just begun and the entire month is already jam-packed with new and exciting releases that are sure to keep you entertained through the monsoon month. With theatres closed, online streaming has become the one-stop destination for all things entertainment. Keeping up with the demand, the July lineup of movies and shows is impressive enough to fuel your curiosity.

In the list are also some big Indian releases that fans have been eagerly waiting for. The highlight however remains Marvel's much-awaited standalone movie, Black Widow, set to release on July 9. All popular streaming platforms have a pipeline of releases ranging across different genres like crime, fantasy, teen dramas - you name it and you’ll have it.

Here is a list of the upcoming releases in July that you should watch out for:

Haseen Dillruba (Netflix)

Directed by Vinil Mathew, featuring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane, Haseen Dillruba is all set to premiere on Netflix on July 2. The exciting mystery-thriller movie is the story of a newlywed woman who is under the suspicion of her husband's murder. Coupled with a ferocious lover and an obsessive husband, the movie aims to explore the complexities of modern-day relationships.

The Tomorrow War (Amazon Prime Video)

Starring Chris Pratt in the lead role, the sci-fi movie is set to make an entry on July 2. Set in the future, in 2051, showcasing concepts like time travel, the movie focuses on a group of time travellers who travel back to the present from 2051 to summon people to save the world in a fight with alien creatures. A war with other worldly creatures in the future poses a threat to mankind, people from the present are needed to join the fight in future to save humanity. Everything that happens in between makes up the plot for this film.

Monsters at Work (Disney+Hotstar)

The much-awaited sequel of Pixar's Monster University promises to take us back to the world of Monsters. Set post the aftermath of Sulley and Mike's monumental shift, the sequel is filled with waves of laughter instead of screams. The series is all set to premiere on July 7 with new episodes coming out every Wednesday.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness (Netflix)

With the live-action version of Resident Evil currently being under work, Netflix picked up the animated series that will follow the game version of Resident Evil 2 with lead roles being played by Leon S. Kennedy (Toshiyuki Morikawa/ Nick Apostolides) and Claire Redfield (Yūko Kaida/ Stephanie Panisello). Good thing is that all the episodes of the show will be released together on July 8.

Black Widow (Disney+Hotstar)

The most-anticipated Marvel release of the year, Black Widow is the much needed standalone movie based on the backstory of the female Avenger. Taking us into the history of Black Widow’s character, the film explores Natasha Romanoff's story with her first family as a KGB agent. This is Marvel's send-off for the superhero after she died in Avengers: Endgame. The movie will premiere on July 9.

Collar Bomb (Disney+Hotstar)

An Indian release set to premiere along with Black Widow on July 9, Collar Bomb stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Asha Negi, Rajshri Deshpande and others. The crime-thriller revolves around a police officer set on a pursuit to stop a terrorist from blowing up a school.

The White Lotus (Disney+Hotstar)

The satire comedy series will premiere on July 12. The series welcomes rich white folks to a tropical Hawaiian resort alongside scenic landscapes and the resort's staff that are not as perfect as they seem. The series will also follow the weekly release pattern with a new episode coming out every week.

Never Have I Ever 2 (Netflix)

The second instalment of the hit teen drama series, Never Have I Ever, is all set to release on Netflix on July 15. The story will pick up from season one's ending and take us through Devi's journey as she deals with the confusion and chaos coming along with two boyfriends. Taking us forward with her journey, the show will delve deep into her struggles as she deals with the pressures of competing with a new Indian kid at school.

Schimgadoon! (Apple TV+)

A musical parody, the show chronicles the journey of a couple as they discover a magical town on their backpacking trip where everybody thinks they are living in a 1940s musical studio. With a catch in the story that they cannot leave the town unless they find their true love, the show brings a refreshing story. The six-episode series is set to release on July 16.

Space Jam: A New Legacy (HBO Max)

An animated story featuring LeBron James getting entangled in a digital space by a rogue AI, he must side with Bugs Bunny and his gang to defeat the AI's digitally charged team in a game of basketball. The unique story presents an intriguing concept that we cannot wait to watch. Releasing on HBO Max and cinemas at the same time, catch the movie on July 16.

Toofaan (Amazon Prime Videos)

One of the biggest Indian releases this month, Toofaan is now finally set to premiere on July 16. The high-intensity sports drama is an inspiring journey of a local streetfighter Ajju Bhai who goes on to become a professional boxing champion for the sake of love and respect. Circling the ups and downs in his life and career, the movie is a much-awaited one.

Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans (Netflix)

Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans is set in a fictional world created by Guillermo Del Toro and revolves around the imaginary town of Arcadia. Arcadia, on the surface is an ordinary town but it’s actually the centre of magical and mystical lines, making it the epicentre for battles between creatures like trolls, aliens and wizards. The fantasy-adventure movie will be released on July 21.

Turner and Hooch (Disney+Hotstar)

A follow-up series of 1989 Tom Hanks starrer movie by the same name, the series begins after the death of Hank's character. Now, following his son, a US Marshall Scott Turner Jr. who also goes on to adopt an unruly dog, just like his father, realizes that the pet he wasn't interested in was the one he actually needed. The 12-episode series will be dropping on July 21, with new episodes coming out every Wednesday.

Feels Like Ishq (Netflix)

Another anthology series by Netflix revolving around six heart fluttering young love stories, Feels Like Ishq is set to release on July 23. Taking on the anthology game yet again, the series will follow six pairs of youngsters from different walks of life as they experience feelings of young love for the first time.

The Last Letter From Your Lover (Netflix)

Releasing on July 23, the romance drama movie is focused on a journalist who gets his hands on a pack of love letters from 1965 in the present day. These love letters of a forbidden affair take him out on a journey to solve the mystery of the forbidden love that ends up involving a socialite, an affluent industrialist's wife and a financial journalist.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation

The direct sequel of He-Man, this animated series picks up from the point the legendary show ended. The series is set in the war of Eternia that begins again and it seems like it would be the final battle between He-Man and the Skeletor. With a new voice cast, the series will be released in two halves, with the first part containing five episodes releasing on July 23.

Ted Lasso (Apple TV+)

Apple TV's most popular series returns with a sequel. The series will follow the titular football coach and his football team struggling in lower leagues. After being relegated from the Premier League towards the end of the first season, Lasso season 2 will see the destructive version Led Tasso take matters in hand. The series will premiere on July 23 with two new episodes followed by a new episode each week.

Jungle Cruise (Disney+Hotstar)

The Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt starrer movie is all set to release on Disney+Hotstar on July 30. The action-packed movie covers the adventurous journey of Dr Lily and Frank as they set out to find a mythical Tree of Life inside a jungle, said to have abilities to cure diseases. With several roadblocks in the way, the journey gets messier and crazier.
