Haseen Dillruba song Lakeeran : Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey’s latest track is heartbreaking

The makers of Netflix’s upcoming release Haseen Dillruba, dropped yet another video song ahead of its release, titled Lakeeran on Thursday. The latest emotional and heartbreaking song features the leading couple Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey. The visuals of the song give glimpses into how they slowly drift apart and fall out of love.

The video glimpses the relationship of the couple post their wedding, which seems to be going through a rough patch. While Taapsee tries to make conversations with Vikrant, he chooses to completely ignore her throughout the track. Taapsee can also be seen handling the household chores and trying to be a perfect bahu.

Penned by Sidhant Mago and composed by Amit Trivedi, the track has been sung by Asees Kaur and Devenderpal Singh.

Vikrant shared a small part of the song on his Instagram page and captioned it writing, “#Lakeeran is here to stir your soul. Song out now! Tune in!”,

Talking about the theme of the film, Taapsee mentioned in an earlier interview with Deccan Chronicle that Haseen Dillruba is strongly influenced by Hindi pulp fiction and that she hasn’t done anything like this before.

Taapsee also revealed in a statement earlier that she was not the first choice for the film. “It’s not just a beautifully written mystery, it has such wonderful characters involved which is candy in an actor’s hands. I am glad I got to experiment with my look and performance with this one,” she had shared, adding that she is not looked upon as the go-to person for the kind of character she’s portraying in the film. ,
