This year’s February 14 was definitely special and a bit most-awaited. Besides the fact that it was the global festival of love (Valentine’s Day), it was also the day when the Karan Johar backed Love Storiyaan had got released. For the unversed, Love Storiyaan happens to be a series of extraordinary love stories that has been spun around six authentic couples. The latest update on the same is that, the sixth episode of the series has now been banned in as many as five countries!

As per a report in Pinkvilla, it has been reported that, the sixth episode of Karan Johar backed Love Storiyaan has been banned in five countries, which includes Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, and Indonesia. For the uninitiated, the sixth episode of the much-talked about Love Storiyaan features a Kolkata based transgender couple Dipan and Tista. The series is being streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

Sixth episode mirrors grit and determination

The stunning and astonishing journey of the said couple made them the talking point of many, who hailed their grit and determination to fight against all odds. The sixth episode, which featured the love story of Tista and Dipan, also mirrored the challenges that they faced during their gender transition surgeries.

As for the series Love Storiyaan, it has been majorly inspired by ‘India Love Project’ which happens to be the brainwave of a project which has been initiated by former journalists viz. Niloufer Venkatraman, Priya Ramani and Samar Halarnkar.

And as for the direction of the said series, it has been hand held by some of the prominent names in the entertainment arena in the form of Vivek Soni, Collin D’Cunha, Akshay Indikar, Shazia Iqbal, Archana Phadke and Hardik Mehta.

Besides Love Storiyaan, the ‘omnipresent’ Karan Johar is also equally busy with the promotions of Sidharth Malhotra starrer Yodha, which also stars Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna in the leading roles. After the initial delays and hiccups for its release, it has now been confirmed that the film will be released all over on March 15 this year.
