For the last two days, reports have surfaced that Salaar 2 has been shelved due to creative differences between the hero Prabhas and Prashanth Neel.
Salaar 2 is one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema. After the success of the first part, the focus has shifted towards the sequel, and preparations for the shoot are going on in full swing. In the meantime, reports have surfaced that Salaar 2 has been shelved due to the creative difference between director Prashanth Neel and Prabhas.
One of the leading portals in Tollywood reported this news and created a sensation of sorts. In no time, the news went viral and became a talking point. We at OTTplay probed further and have come to know from one of our sources that the news is untrue, and the project is very much on.
The makers also released a working still that shows Prabhas and the director Neel in a very jovial mood on the film's sets. This clearly implies that the duo has indeed laughed off the rumors. The news of Salaar 2 being called off came at a time when the makers of Jr NTR's next with Prashanth Neel announced that the shooting of their film would kick start in August.
Since then, news has come out that the Salaar 2 has been postponed. But now that the makers have cleared the news, things are back on track. The word is that Prashanth Neel and Jr NTR's film will be shot simultaneously. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead in this film, which also has Prithviraj Sukumaran in a key role.
Hombale Films produced the film on a massive scale. The makers have decided to wrap up the sequel on a low budget and in a quick time. They are planning to release the film in April 2025.
On the other hand, Prabhas is busy with the dubbing of his new film Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. The recently released promo of the special car designed for Prabhas took the hype around the film to the next level.
