Tamil actor Kavin has established himself as a sought-after actor. With numerous projects in the pipeline, work on his next film, tentatively titled Kavin 07, has begun. The latest from the movie is that Andrea Jeremiah has been roped in to play the female lead in the film. And it turns out that she has quite an interesting character in the movie.
Andrea Jeremiah’s role in Kavin 07
Although an official announcement is awaited, the latest reports suggest that Andrea will be playing a female gangster in Kavin 07. Director Vikranan Ashokan, who has worked as an assistant director to Vetri Maaran, is directing this movie. The film will be bankrolled by Vetri Maaran's home banner, Grass Root Films, and the shooting is expected to begin next month. More details about the film will be revealed soon.
When Andrea Jeremiah played characters with grey shade
This isn't the first time that Andrea has been roped in to play a character with grey shades. In the 2017 hit film Thupparivalan, Andrea played a negative role and received praise for her acting. Her portrayal of Chandra in the critically acclaimed film Vada Chennai still remains one of her best roles in her career. With the latest update about her character in Kavin's upcoming film, fans are hoping to see the actress pulling off yet another banger negative role as a gangster.
Meanwhile, Andreah Jeremiah’s latest film Kaa-The Forest hit the big screens on March 29. Directed by Nanjil, the film opened to mixed to negative reviews and has been receiving lukewarm responses at the box office. The actress’ upcoming lineup includes No Entry, Pisaasu II among others.
On the other hand, Kavin’s upcoming film Star directed by Elan of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal fame is awaiting a release date. Star, one of the most ambitious projects in the rising star’s career, has two female leads–Aaditi S Pohankar and Preity Mukhundhan in this family drama. The actor is said to play a movie star which will narrate the untold story of stardom, and showcase the struggles of actors.
