Amritha Aiyer essays the female lead in the fantasy saga that also features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai
Director Prasanth Varma is a storyteller who's made several heads turn with his distinct subject choices, be it Awe, Kalki or Zombie Reddy. Hanuman, his next, too promises to be another fulfilling adventure for the budding filmmaker. He teams up with child actor-turned-male lead Teja Sajja for the much-awaited superhero film that also stars Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Vinay Rai in pivotal roles. K Niranjan Reddy is bankrolling the film under Primeshow Entertainment.
HanuMan, as the title suggests, is a unique take on the popular character from Ramayana, set in the mythical hill station Anjanadri. The film has been in the making for long, nearly a year now and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to present a tale that appeals to the sensibilities of the younger lot and adults alike. The team, earlier today, confirmed that the teaser of HanuMan would be launched on November 15.
In an attractive new poster launched alongside the announcement, Teja Sajja, sporting a funky costume in a rugged look, is standing atop a hill and blowing a conch shell. Generally, a conch shell in epics is blown to signify the commencement of an important event, announcement and the poster is quite apt for the occassion. Getup Srinu, Satya, Raj Deepak Shetty form the supporting cast of the film which has music by three composers Gowra Hari, Anudeep Dev and Krishna Saurabh.
Dasaradhi Shivendra cranks the camera while Asrin Reddy is the executive producer. Venkat Kumar Jetty and Kushal Reddy are the line producer and associate producer respectively. Scriptsville, Prasanth Varma's scripting-solutions startup, has come up with the screenplay. The film is expected to release in December 2022 or early 2023. An official announcement about the same is awaited.
