The film is a modern-day reimagination of Hanuman’s tale from Ramayana
Prasanth Varma, who carved a niche in the film industry with pathbreaking films like Awe, Kalki and Zombie Reddy, is working on a superhero film titled HanuMan. Like the title suggests, the film is a reimagination of Hanuman’s tale from Ramayana with a contemporary twist. Teja Sajja plays the lead role in the film for which Amritha Aiyer plays the leading lady.
The film, which has wrapped its shoot recently, is currently in the middle of its post-production phase. The superhero saga was to hit screens initially on May 12, but the makers confirmed that the release date was pushed due to extensive CGI and VFX work. HanuMan is bankrolled by K Niranjan Reddy under Primeshow Entertainment. Chaitanya is the presenter.
The team confirmed the new release date of the film today. “From Indian Ithihaas To the Worldwide Screens. A new poster of the film was also released to confirm the news. Teja Sajja holds a saffron flag and is crossing a mountain, while dressed in a kalankari kurta and dhoti. HanuMan will officially release in theatres on January 12, 2024 across 11 languages - Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Spanish.
HanuMan also stars Vinay Rai, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Getup Srinu, Satya, Raj Deepak Shetty in key roles. Gowra Hari, Anudeep Dev and Krishna Saurabh are the music directors for the same while Dasaradhi Shivendra is the cinematographer. SB Raju Talari is the editor and Lanka Santhoshi is the costume designer respectively.
