Prasanth Varma's HanuMan has become a massive blockbuster and is going great guns in its second week as well. The Teja Sajja starrer has especially shocked one and all in the US market as it is nearing the $5 million mark soon, which is a rare feat.

HanuMan has grossed $4.7 million to date and has become the 5th biggest hit of all time in the US. As the film has clean entertainment and is being loved by kids, the audience in the US has watched it multiple times. From day one, there was solid applause for the film in theatres across the US.

HanuMan budget details

Made on a budget of Rs 20 crore, the Teja Sajja starrer has already made four times its budget and is nearing the Rs 200 crore mark soon. With the weekend setting in, the trade is expecting good collections as multiple screens have been added in various areas of its release in the US.

Surprisingly, everyone had pinned hopes on Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram and hoped that the Trivikram film would do great as always in the US. But the film has flopped, is stuck at $2.5 million and will end as a loss venture for the US distributors.

HanuMan becomes Sankranthi 2024 winner

Back in India, HanuMan is going strong in the Telugu states as it has now received more theatres post the Sankranthi festival, which was dominated by biggies like Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav, and Naa Saami Ranga. None of the Sankranthi biggies managed to start on a strong note at the domestic box office.
